Leadership
Matt Sutton-Vermeulen, President
- More than 30 years of experience working with domestic and international clients in all aspects of the food chain, including animal health, genetics, nutrition, production, processing, retail, associations and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs).
- Depth of experience in food-animal production leads to a unique set of strategic skills, relationships and management expertise.
- Prior to joining Unison, Matt worked at McCormick Company for seven years in a consultative role and three years with CMA Consulting.
- Began his professional career in food-animal production as a hired ranch hand after earning a two-year certificate from the Institute of Agricultural Technology at Michigan State University. He then attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and graduated with a degree in animal science.
Beth Homann, Staffing Solutions Manager
- More than 20 years of experience in recruitment, full-cycle placement, career counseling, staffing and Internet recruitment.
- Extensive contacts with companies and candidates in addition to a proven track record of success.
- Most recently, oversaw full-cycle placement for all legal, finance, communications, business development and human resource positions at a major medical technology company, which involved partnering with Europe-based global leaders and employees based in the United States.
- Prior to that opportunity, served as the recruitment manager for a mid-sized marketing communications firm and worked with all departments within the agency including account service, production, creative, media, accounting and issues management. In this position, Beth hired 139 professionals over eight years as the agency grew significantly.
- Professional training and competencies include OFCCP training, courses in certified Internet recruitment and LinkedIn, Boolean Logic, Zoominfo experience, AIRS classes, Lean training and Brassring.
- Graduate of Indiana University – Bloomington with Bachelor of Arts
Rick Zimmer, Chief Operating Officer
- A 17-year senior management veteran with experience in sales communication - advertising, Internet/telecom services, financial institutions, healthcare and public accounting.
- Joined Unison Resource Company as COO after serving as chief financial officer and managing partner of an outsource accounting group.
- Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
- Holds a CPA license from the State of Texas
- Graduate of West Texas A&M University with a BBA in accounting.
